PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)
- Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
- Identify and analyses well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
- Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
- Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
- Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment, and ethical practices.
- Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
- Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)
- Select appropriate method for the production of particular product.
- Analyse the relation among reaction rate, feasibility and extent of chemical reaction.
- Plan and execute maintenance and repair of petrochemical plants.
- Perform procedures as per laboratory standards in the area of chemistry and related parameters like control, instrumentation, mechanical operation, mass transfer and heat transfer.
- Understand the importance of safety in petrochemical plant, impact of chemical exposure to environment and deposal of hazardous chemicals.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS):
- To mold the students as versatile Diploma Engineers having ability of complex problem solving , to take up higher studies for leading the organization towards excellence.
- To produce skilled Diploma Engineers with conceptually adopt technology for analyzing and solving Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering problems.
- Exhibit understanding of social and environmental issues relevant to professional engineering practice.
- Be committed to professional ethics , responsibilities and norms of Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering
- Be able to recognize the need for continuous lifelong learning and be aware of latest developments in the area of Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering.
