Department of Chemical Engineering, Ujjain Polytechnic College is one of the lucrative departments in the state of Madhya Pradesh because of its uniqueness and job potential.This department was established in the year 1984 in Ujjain Polytechnic College with capacity of 30 seats. The seats increased to 60 in the year 2009. At present there are total 69 seats which include the three additional seats for TFW students and six for EWS.
Department was awarded the NBA certificate in 2005 and this was the only department in the whole state to get the certification for a duration of 5 years.
The pass outs having diploma in Chemical Engineering get selected in renowned chemical and petrochemical industries with handsome package. Most of the students opt for oil refineries some of them are HMEL Bhatinda, BORL Bina, Nayra energy limited Gujarat. Some of the academically good students opt for higher studies and go for their graduation through entry.
