Workshop practice is the backbone of the real industrial environment which helps to develop and enhance relevant technical hand skills required by the technicians working in the various engineering industries and workshops.
Our workshop intends to impart basic know-how of various hand tools, power tools, machine tools and their use in different sections of manufacturing. Irrespective of branch, the use of workshop practices in day to day industrial as well as domestic life helps to solve real-life problems. The workshop experiences would help to build the understanding of the complexity of the industrial job, along with the time and skills requirements of the job.
The workshop curriculum builds hands-on experience, which will help to learn manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering courses in successive semesters. Workshop practice is also important, since only “Practice make the man perfect”. The students are advised to undergo each skill experience with remembrance, understanding and application, with special emphasis on attitude of enquiry to know why and how for the various instructions and practices imparted to them in each shop.
The institute has established six instruction shops to learn and practice a wide range of manufacturing processes. A resource in the workshop not only helps to complete it practically but also supports undertakingprojects, creative competitive working models.

The workstations are equipped with headphones, microphones, and multimedia software, enabling students to practice their listening and speaking skills in a self-paced and interactive manner.

At GPC Ujjain, we understand the importance of providing our students with a comfortable, safe and supportive living environment. We are having 75 sitter Boys hostel. Our hostels are designed to provide students with a safe, secure, and comfortable living space that promotes personal growth and academic success.
At GPC Ujjain, we recognize the importance of providing a safe environment for our Girls students. The college campus has hostel accommodation for girls. It has two hostels with a total capacity of 101 students. The hostel rooms are fully furnished with common provision for water purifier and water heaters. Common room facility with cable T.V. and telephone are available in each hostel. Both the hostels have in house ness canteens that provides good quality. Food at pocket friendly costs. The warden Mrs Mitra Sarkar and The caretaker Mrs Rekha Khapre have. Been managing the hostels since their establishment in 2012 and 2016 and have also received appreciation from Principal secretary V.P. Singh for the exemplary functioning of the hostels.

At GPC Ujjain, we are proud to have a National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit on campus, 10 MP Battalion Armed Unit has been started in our Institute in Nov. 2014.The NCC is a youth organization that is with the Motto of "Unity and Discipline", aimed at developing character, leadership, and social responsibility among young people in India and Provide an environment to motivate cadets to join the armed forces as a career.

National Service Scheme (NSS) was started by the Government of India in 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi with the intention to inculcate a sense of social responsibility, consciousness, self-motivated discipline, and respect for labor among the students associated with higher education. Students can also make use of their free time and leisure to do interviews with real situations, so that their personality develops. National Service Scheme Unit in Ujjain Polytechnic College is working under the guidance of Vikram University, Ujjain since 1988, in which there are 2 types of activities –

In regular activities, volunteers do service work in the organization on every Saturday-Sunday and government holidays. For which Rs. 10 on each volunteer and Rs 8650 in a year is given by Vikram University, Ujjain to spend.
After working 120 hours in 1 year and a camp and 240 hours service in 2 years, one gets B certificate and becomes eligible for C certificate. On making a project report on any one service work and passing the written examination, they get C certificate.
For setting up special camps for seven days in God Gram, Rs 64 per day for each student but for maximum seven days Rs 450 per camper and Rs 22500 for 50 children are given by Vikram University, Ujjain.
In Red Ribbon Club, throughout the year, programs like rally, essay, objective question, painting, group discussion, exhibition, lectures are done for which ₹4000 is given by District Hospital, Ujjain.

College is having a modern exam control room with advanced facility designed to ensure fair, secure, and efficient conduct of examinations. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and manned by experienced personnel who are trained to manage the entire examination process. The exam control room is equipped with surveillance cameras that monitor every activity in the examination hall. This helps to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
